When you use our website or app, register, place an order, sign up for our newsletter, answer a survey, or complete a form, we collect information from you.

  • Name, e-mail, phone number, place of residence.
  • Geo-location of drivers and driving routes.
  • Information about vehicles (including registration number).
  • Driver’s efficiency and ratings.
  • Driver’s license, photo, profession and identity documents.
  • Data about criminal records and offences. The financial data of providing transportation services is not considered as personal data, because drivers provide services in the course of economic and professional activities.

How do we use the information we collect?

In order to improve user experience, we also gather data from mobile devices, though participation in these features is entirely voluntary:

  • We collect and use personal information in order to link riders with drivers and help them navigate cities more efficiently.
  • Driving routes and geolocation data are processed to analyze the surrounding region and provide recommendations to drivers. If you do not wish to reveal your geolocation to riders, you must close the DICE app or specify in the app that you are offline and do not now provide transportation services.
  • The driver's license, identity documents, and criminal history and offenses are all reviewed to ensure compliance with legal requirements and the acceptability of pursuing a career as a driver.
  • The DICE app displays the driver's photo, name, and vehicle details so that riders can recognize the driver and car.
  • The DICE Driver Portal will provide you summaries detailing your driving efficiency and ratings. A summary and ratings of the driver are required to provide dependable services for riders.

Governing Law

  • Personal data is processed in order to fulfill the terms of the contract with the driver. The processing of driver identification and geolocation data is required before using the DICE services.
  • Personal data may be processed in the legitimate interest of investigating and detecting fraudulent payments.
  • Data on criminal history and offenses is processed in order to comply with a legal duty.

Personal data is only accessible to authorized DICE and partner workers, and even then, only to the degree required to resolve disputes about transportation services and other difficulties emerging from their use.
  • DICE and its partners may have access to personal data in order to provide customer support.

When does DICE use customer information from third parties?

Certain information that you supply to us is obtained from third parties. We receive information from a third party that provides DICE with automatic fraud detection services, such as when you supply us with your email address to show interest in being a partner or customer. Occasionally, we collect data from public social networking platforms. You may control how much of your information social media platforms share by visiting these websites and modifying your privacy settings.

Do we share the information we collect with third parties?

Our content providers, contest sponsors, advertising agencies, promotional and marketing partners, and other entities whose goods or services we feel you may be interested in may have access to the personal and non-personal information we have collected. Furthermore, in the event of a merger, asset sale, or other type of corporate restructuring, we may disclose or transfer your personal and non-personal information to our successors in interest. We may also share it with our existing and potential associated companies and business partners.

We may collaborate with reputable outside service providers to handle tasks and provide services for us, such as managing and hosting our servers and website/app, storing and storing databases, managing emails, marketing storage, processing
credit cards, providing customer support, and completing orders for goods and services purchased through the website/app. We will likely share some non-personal information with these third parties in addition to your personal information so that they can perform these services for us and you.

We may grant third parties, such as web analytics partners, application developers, and ad networks, access to portions of our log file data, including IP addresses, for analytical purposes. When you visit a website or app, your IP address can be used to determine its general location as well as other technical characteristics such as connection speed, whether you accessed the site or app in a public place, and what device you used. They may compile data about our advertising and what you see on the website or app for the purpose of auditing, studying, and reporting on our behalf and those of our advertisers.

We may disclose personal and non-personal information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties in order to respond to claims, legal process (including subpoenas), protect our rights and interests or those of a third party, ensure the public's or any individual's safety, prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity, or in accordance with applicable court orders, laws, rules, and regulations.

Access, Correction, Retention, Deletion and Data Portability

Personal information can be accessed and modified using the DICE Driver Portal. Your personal data will be retained on file as long as your driver's account is active. Even if you close your account, your personal information will be retained for an additional three years. Files containing information needed for accounting must be maintained for seven years. In the event that there are any suspicions of fraud, false information, or administrative or criminal violations, the information will be retained on file for ten years. In the event of a disagreement, the information will be kept on file until the claim is settled or it expires. Within one month after receiving an email requesting the deletion and transfer of personal data (to what destination), we respond and provide specifics regarding the timeline for such measures.

How Do We Protect Your Information?

When you place an order or request, enter, submit, or access your personal information, we take a variety of precautions to keep it safe. We grant users access to a secure server. Personal information, such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, bank account information, and so on, is never kept on file after a transaction. We cannot guarantee that the information you supply to DICE will be entirely secure, or that a breach of our technical, managerial, or physical protections will not allow access to, disclosure of, alteration of, or destruction of your information on the Service.

We may send information we gather from you via our website, direct interactions, or the usage of our help services to our offices, employees, or third parties located around the world. It can also be seen and hosted anywhere in the globe, including in countries where there are no general regulations controlling the use and transfer of such data. If you use any of the aforementioned services, you freely consent to the trans-border transmission and hosting of such information, to the extent permitted by law.

Is the information collected through the DICE Service secure?

We implement security precautions to keep your information safe. We utilize administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect, prevent unauthorized access, ensure data security, and use your information responsibly. However, security solutions, including encryption, are not perfect, and neither are individuals. People can also make mistakes, conduct crimes on purpose, or break the rules. As a result, while we take reasonable efforts to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its perfect security. You understand that any non-disclaimable obligation under applicable law to protect your personal information will be judged by our purposeful misbehavior.
