DICE aims to offer ridesharing services that, unlike existing competitor services, are tailored to meet the specific needs of the Nigerian market. As a result, the company offers a dynamic pricing model that seeks to cater for a wide range of users, particularly low income earners. The company also prioritizes ease of use through a simple user interface and includes Pidgin English that is widely spoken by many Nigerians.
DICE also offers a wide range of payment models that meet the specific situations of ordinary Nigerians, ranging from debit/credit cards, cash payment, transfers, Mobile Wallet and digital payment using mobile App.
DICE also offers Family Account features, whereby verified members of the same household can use the same payment ID. In addition, it allows school children to use their parents’ payment IDs. Similarly, the parents to keep their child’s commute through real-time text messages for safety purposes.
Quality customer experience is utmost importance to the company. The service encompasses real-time tracking between departure and arrival on designated routes. If there is signal failure or sudden change of route for more than sixty seconds, the rider will receive a phone call to ascertain their safety and comfort. The driver is expected to take the fastest route to a destination or be penalized by the company.
Riders can pay for the service via their debit / credit card, cash payment, transfer and mobile wallet. We intend to serve two clients such as corporate and private passengers. Again, utilization of mobile app will facilitate identification of the driver’s location to the rider, connect the rider to the closest driver and play the role of interface for payments. Apparently, the mobile app should disseminate information such as the distance, duration and cost of the ride to the rider’s mobile device.
DICE has fixed pricing per kilometer regardless of time, weather and local events. Hence, we are optimizing the distance between two points to ensure the rider pays for actual route to destination regardless of change of route by driver. The income of partners comes from the invoicing of journeys and amount of services rendered.
DICE provides vehicles for hire to corporate and private passengers via smartphone mobile app and Web site to minimize riders’ challenge within the urban area/metropolis. The competitors are Uber, Bolt, Envio and local cab operators. The app will allow the rider to choose the type of vehicle and products preferred such as desired air conditioning temperature, the preferred radio station, calling on arrival for pick-up and bilingual.
DICE marketing strategy involves advertisement using word of mouth, electronic media, social media platform, blogs, bus advertisement, street poster advertisement and hand flyers. Our operating hours are flexible, which allow owners/drivers to earn income as desired. Again, the rider can schedule for pick-up or drop-off in advance. DICE will send intermittent reminders to provide heads-up before arrival. Invariably, the app is available 247 (24 hours a day and 7 days week) for riders to make reservations in advance and you can fire up the app to ascertain if there is a car on the map within your locality anytime. The measurement of success is accomplished through completion of ride to designated destination, rider satisfaction and feedback to evaluate the ride and the driver. DICE will disseminate a summary of information pertaining to the ride such as distance, duration and cost of the ride.
DICE app will enable users to hail rides from their smartphones. The application is available for Android and IOS phones. Riders have options to choose payment method: cash, debit/credit card, mobile wallet or transfer to facilitate using the service. The rider requests a ride and confirms their pick-up location. The nearest available driver will accept the trip, the customer will be able to see the driver’s name, photography profile, gender and car details. After the ride is completed both the driver and rider can rate each other.
DICE is focusing on the middle and low income class in the society especially workers who want to beat rush-hour, shoppers, or students who have no access to family cars for daily commuting. ride-hailing
